I was working at The Artists Gallery today and had the pleasure to speak with a young man from Uganda who was admiring my work. He showed me some of his work (which was excellent, by the way). We discussed all sorts of photography-related topics. As he was leaving, he thanked me for providing inspiration to him. Maybe my presence on this Earth as a photographer will live on in some small way. Thanks for making my day, Peter.
Happy New Year!
2019 is here and I decided that the year needed to start off with some New Year’s Day photos.
There wasn’t a lot of color on the gray day, but there was a bit here:
Sometimes you just have to lay down on the job. I almost lost a lens that had fallen from my pocket as I laid on the ground gazing upward for this shot. (I emphasize the word “almost.”)
A wish for the new year for all of those who read these words:
Well, if DaVinci could do it . . .
On occasion, someone will say something like, “I don’t buy photography because I only buy originals. There can be multiple copies of a photograph. ”
Point taken. I do want to point out that “the masters” were not above reproducing successful works. They were, after all, business people as well as artists.

FINALLY!!! (Well, almost)
Anyone who has visited the site over the past several months knows that the site really hasn’t been functional. The site had become infected and, being lazy while clearing the infection, I deleted several key files. (To be fair, they looked innocuous.)
Of course, I had backed up the website files in anticipation of just such an event. What I didn’t count on was having the backup (or would it be the restoration?) fail. Down went the website. Fixing in was always less than top priority.
Bet the candle has been lit.
You can’t purchase any works directly here yet, but send an email to me and be glad to help you.
